The Paladain
Little is known or recorded in history about this race of ancient people. They came from the North, across the White Mountains, and they at one time established a trading route between the Unknown Lands North of the White Mountains, and the Southlands, though this trade route no longer exists and there is great speculation as to whether it ever did exist. The Paladain are best known for the beautiful cities and palaces they created and left behind. All of their architecture was created out of white stone, a stone which is unknown and undiscovered to the people of today. Several of the cities that they created still stand unmarred by time. One such city is none other than the capitol of Anuran - Elinralis - home to Princess Erewhon.
The history books of Anuran recount that the Paladain were regal and beautiful, and had unnaturally long lives, suggesting perhaps that they were immortal. There is only one Paladain name mentioned in the history books in Anuran: Princess Venain. She was an ambassador between her people and the humans for many years before the Paladain completely disappeared from the map and from history. The reason for their disappearance is unknown, and many scholars say that they are nothing more than mere mythical beings.
