Story
Keegan’s beginnings were a strange mixture of humbled importance. He was born a Wovlen and was tattooed to signify that he was part of a hated race. As a young child, his family traveled from town to town, trying to find work and trade, forced to survive on the very basics of life. He has memories of personally being mistreated in the towns that they passed through. However, his father was an accomplished dragon slayer, and his grandfather had been well known and respected. So, in spite of the mistreatment and rejection he received, his father was respected and his was family tolerated within certain limits.
When he was 9 years of age, his father and his uncle finally decided that it would be healthier for their families if they settled someplace away from the society that rejected them. Though it was risky, they decided the best place to stay would be the Dragon Plains. Keegan and his family spent three years in the Dragon Plains before they were attacked by the black army. Keegan witnessed his father’s death, which haunted him for years afterward. After witnessing the massacre of his family and village, he sought refuge in the dreaded Dragons Forest where he met Pharrgon, a golden dragon who adopted him as a son. The dragon taught Keegan wilderness survival, sword fighting and tactics, turning the boy into a formidable warrior.
Roughly 11 years after his village was massacred, Keegan bonded with a wild horse from the Dragon Plains, named Ardor. He began traveling, searching for clues that would lead to his father’s murderer. It became his life purpose to hunt down those who had attacked his people and then exact revenge.

The Dragon Pharrgon
Pronounced "far-gone"
Race
Dragon
Description
Pharrgon is completely gold in color. He is about 30 feet tall at the shoulders, has ivory teeth, six long horns on his head, and has a small, deep brand on his right shoulder that leaves his scales around it disfigured. He also has plated spines on his back that lie perfectly flat when he is undisturbed but will rise on end when he is agitated. The tip of his tail resembles an arrowhead and can open and shut like a pair of sheers.
Personality
Pharrgon has a complex personality and an abundance of thoughts and feelings. He is warm-hearted by nature, sympathetic and understanding. He has clairvoyant intuition which gives him a strong understanding of human nature and makes him a very good judge of character. He is mostly reserved and confides his thoughts and feelings to only a few that he trusts, and he can be deeply hurt by rejection or criticism from those he trusts. He finds conflict unpleasant and prefers harmony. He hesitates before raising unsatisfactory issues and, when he does, he makes every effort not to hurt anyone. However, if something is very important to him, he can assert himself with a doggedness bordering on obstinacy. He is an excellent problem solver and is very creative. He is practical and well organized and can tackle complex situations in a structured and carefully considered manner. He likes to get to the root of things and has a natural thirst for knowledge. Loyalty and permanent relationships are very important to him, and he will not put his time or energy into quick, shallow affairs or people.
Story
Pharrgon's story is indeed long and filled with adventure. He is the son of Talloan, a benevolent red dragon of renown who once served alongside Bowen the Great, King of the Wovlen. Pharrgon was barely 40 years old when Sharnilith, the abominable red dragon, destroyed the Wovlen kingdom and killed hundreds of dragons.
He met Dayspeaker Walneff Feldost during this time and formed a solid friendship with the man. From Walneff, he learned much about humanity, diplomacy, warfare, and friendship, along with a host of other useful things that would serve him later in life. He was Walneff's constant aide for nearly 60 years, fighting hundreds of battles, flying the length and breadth of the land, until it became too dangerous for dragons to roam the sky. With an aching heart, he retreated to the Dragon's Forest, along with others of his kind, rarely venturing out of those woods again.
Nearly 300 years later, sick of hiding, he finally left the Dragon's Forest. Within a few days, he found himself trapped and at the mercy of a skilled Wovlen dragon slayer. The dragon slayer meant to kill him, but Walneff came to the rescue and convinced the dragon slayer to spare Pharrgon's life. After learning that Pharrgon would play an important role in the future of the Wovlen, the dragon slayer, who was called Gilbowen, agreed to let Pharrgon live, but he put a brand on Pharrgon's shoulder before releasing him. He swore that the brand would be a sign to future generations and would keep others from killing Pharrgon.
Some time after that, Keegan, a young Wovlen boy, wandered into Pharrgon's lair. The moment that the small boy unknowingly fell asleep next to him, he loved him as his own. He knew beyond doubt that Keegan was the one mentioned in prophecy, and so he focused all his energy to train and prepare Keegan for the day when he would fulfill prophecy.

The Princess Erewhon
Pronounced "Air - a - wh - on" with the "wh" as in "whip"
Description
5 foot 6 inches tall
Race: Anuranin/Paladain
Eye color: forest green, sharp and perceptive
Hair color: wavy blond with silver highlights that form a star
Personality
Erewhon is warm-hearted and conscientious. She is practical, organized, reliable, and takes great pleasure in being useful and caring for others. She is traditional and dislikes change. She hates the limelight and cannot stand discord, but she has learned to stand up for what is right and speak her mind. She can be a workaholic and is very thorough and obliging, so she does not like to delegate tasks to others. Family and relationships are very important to her, and she can become very deeply hurt if her interpersonal commitment is taken for granted.
Story
Erewhon was only 10 years old when she and her baby sister, Annaka, became orphans. She spent most of her life as a peasant, working to earn she and Annaka's food and keep.
Her parents left together for a few days with promises to return. Her mother never returned, and her father left her and her sister, Annaka, abruptly in the care of Gore and Alma, a kind-hearted couple living on the border of Anuran. In a letter that her father left, she was told that she had an uncle who would one day come for her. She was unaware that her father was a prince until ten years later, when King Orwin of Anuran was made aware of her existence by an anonymous letter. King Orwin found her, claimed her and Annaka as his heirs, and brought them into his home, loving them as his own daughters. The change was very hard for Erewhon to adjust to, but the duties of a royal heir to the throne preoccupies her mind and keeps her busy enough to forget the woes of wealth and comfort.

Saul the Tall
Description:
6 foot 5 inches tall
Race: Wovlen
Eye color: brown
Hair color: black
Distinctions: He has the Wovlen tattoo on his right shoulder
Personality:
Saul is reliable, well organized and helpful. Traditional values are important to him, and family also plays a central role in his life. He is always ready to listen to the worries and problems of others, and will spare no effort when asked for help. With empathy and understanding, he can sense what other people need. He is always willing to highly regard the strong points of the other person and to excuse that person’s weaknesses. He shows his feelings openly and honestly.
He prefers clear, structured surroundings and work processes and finds too much change and unrest unpleasant. His strong points are carefulness and reliability and not so much flexibility and spontaneity. He is open-minded towards anything new only to a limited extent. But, should one be looking for someone to fulfill a task reliably and exactly, Saul is the right person to ask.
Story:
Saul was an only child and was raised by his father. His mother, who was not a Wovlen, died giving birth to him. Saul grew up in the large Wovlen tribe led by Keegan's uncle, and was never without a lack of playmates. He matured quickly in body and mind and had a fair, caring nature, so he was a favorite among the other children.
His father was the first man to die in the massacre of the Wovlen village, but he was able to warn the leaders of the coming army, and this allowed some of the people to escape the village alive, including his own son.
During the attack on the village, Saul found Alia, Keegan's sister, and led her out of the village. There he found Brainna and her baby brother. He led the girls to safety and found a cave for them to take shelter in. He tried his best to take care of all of them, but within a couple of months, Brainna's baby brother died, and all three of them grew very sick.
A wandering prospector and his son, Baylin, happened on the cave and found the group. The prospector took care of them and helped them all to get better, then he led them to the edge of the wilds, closer to civilization. He and Baylin helped Saul build a house, then he left them to go prospecting in the mountains. He never returned.
Saul and Baylin took care of the girls for the next eleven years, during which time Baylin married Alia. Two years later, Baylin was gored by a wild boar while he and Saul were hunting and bled to death. Saul tried to save him and did not return home to the girls until the next day, dreading to give them the news.
Alia was expecting at the time and had her baby a few days after Baylin was buried. Three months afterward, the baby grew very ill.
Saul ran for three days straight to the nearest village where he found a healer. He used all the money that Baylin's father had left them to rent horses and pay the healer in advance, but when he arrived back at the house two days later with the healer, the baby was already gone.
The healer gave half the money back to them, and returned to the village where she spread stories about Saul's impressive determination to save the child.
This interested a merchant passing through who needed help to move a herd of oxen down south to the Gilidar seaports. He contacted Saul and offered to pay him a good sum of money if he would agree to help. Saul accepted only at the prompting of Alia and Brainna.
Nearly two months later, Saul was making his way home and, outside the village Temroth, he heard someone cry Keegan's name. Hoping that it was really Alia's brother, he rushed in to find Keegan and Susun washing down the river. He pulled them from the river and recognized Keegan instantly by his ring. His surprise at finding Keegan was momentarily displaced when he looked at Susun for the first time, though. She was in shock and delirious, but Saul fell in love with her right there and was overcome with fear for her life. He held her close as Keegan led him to her home. He talked to her and whispered in her ear, begging her to stay awake, willing her to stay alive, and telling her that he loved her.
Later on, when Susun was better, she told him that she could remember him speaking to her. She expressed how his words at the time had kept her from slipping away, and that they continued to touch her deeply. The two of them kept this between themselves and formed a close bond during his short stay with her family.
Before he left to take Keegan back home to Alia and Brainna, Saul asked Susun's father if he might visit the family again, specifically to see Susun. Susun's father gave his consent, so Saul left Susun with the promise that he would return again.

“I wonder.…” He looked back at the group and motioned at Erewhon. “I wonder if she could hit you from this distance?”
Keegan cocked his head and knit his brows. “I don’t know. But why ask such a question?”
Saul shrugged. “Because, if she were to look over here and see how you were staring so wistfully at her, the question might occur to her.”

5' 11" tall
Race: Wovlen
Eye color: Dark Blue
Hair: Black, curly, shoulder length, tied in metallic bands

Theme Song: Monster by Imagine Dragons and Wolfborn by BrunuhVille

Whoever has him as a friend or partner can rely on him for a lifetime. However, it takes quite a while for Vliron to enter into a relationship or friendship. Story
Vliron's history is dark and difficult to piece together, at best.
Sloan aka "Demetrius" said that he was Vliron's father, and also hinted to the fact that Vliron was the child of a whore. Vliron, however, insisted that his father was the man who raised him.
Demitreah also seemed to have had some special plan for Vliron at one point, because she said that he was a disappointment to her. What plans those were, though, are unknown.
Roughly about the time that Keegan's village was massacred, Vliron was taken into captivity, and Demetrius killed all his family. From where he came and why he was taken captive is unclear.
For thirteen years Vliron was forced to be a "sporter", a gladiator, though it seems that he has had formal training as an assassin as well. He is particularly good at killing dragons and knows a great deal about Roshar and Dorr Wolves.
He was well acquainted with Gala's girl cousin, Willow, who was captured with the intent of being Vliron's next sporter kill. However, Vliron was nearly burned to death by a dragon and, because he was unpredictable and dangerous, even when wounded, Willow was forced to be his healer. It seems that, during the time it took for him to heal, he and Willow became very close.
He helped Willow escape, but he remained behind. Some time later, Willow tried to help him escape, but a Dorr Wolf surprised her and crushed her skull. She did not die immediately, so Vliron was forced to put her out of her misery. When she died, he gave up the desire to live. He might have wasted away in his cage, but a crippled Roshar who had been Vliron's keeper for all this time, told Vliron, in detail, about the rise of the Valad Drakoan. Some bit of life rekindled in Vliron at the news, and it grew into a fiery passion that fed his need for vengeance.
Some time later, Vliron managed to escape again. He was found by the Void Lords, who approached him with an offer - he would be given his freedom in exchange for killing an old dragon in the wild and retrieving an ancient sword. Vliron accepted the offer and was set loose. He found and killed the old dragon and spent days searching its lair for the sword. He finally found it sealed in a box, hidden behind a false wall. He opened the seal on the box, and when he realized that the sword inside was Mazgaroth, he removed it and replaced it with another sword, resealing the box. He wrapped Mazgaroth in an old clothe and tucked it away in the dragon's lair, then he returned the sealed box to the Void Lords. When it was discovered that the sword inside was a fake, Vliron claimed to be ignorant of the fact. He went on to suggest that the Valad Drakoan might be the only person able to find the sword. When the idea was accepted, Vliron offered to lure the Valad Drakoan into finding the sword. He promised that he would steal the sword from the Valad Drakoan, but only if Demetrius promised to meet him in person to claim it. His offer was accepted, and he was set loose again to carry out his deed.

Personality:
Vliron is down-to-earth and responsible-minded. He is precise, reserved and demanding. He seems harsh, quiet, and distant to outsiders, but he has a great deal of wit and esprit. He expects a lot of himself and others. Once Vliron has his mind set on something, it is difficult to persuade him otherwise. He has little time for extravagances and flightiness. Whoever has him as a friend or partner can rely on him for a lifetime. However, it takes quite a while for Vliron to enter into a relationship or friendship. He has little need for social contacts; he therefore limits himself to a small but exclusive circle of friends who meet his high demands. He tends to show his closeness to people who are important to him by by deeds, not words.
